Yasiin Bey gets an entire hierarchy of values into 82 seconds on “Priority.” Produced by Preservation, the song draws on Bobby Hebb’s “Flower” and places peace, God, love, home, and truth ahead of everything else. That restraint is its strength: the declaration is complete before the beat has time to overstate it. Cognito directs the official video for Frolab, with Jewell Green and Cognito handling the edit.
