A$AP Rocky Charged With Assaulting A Woman

The Made In America Festival took place over the Labor Day weekend at Bejamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia and featured performances by Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, Miguel, Wiz Khalifa, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Beyonce, Deadmau5, 2 Chainz, Public Enemy, 2 Chainz, Emeli Sande, ASAP Rocky, Nine In Nails, Solange and more. A virtual who’s who his urban and alternative music. Fans flocked from all walks of life and all over the country to check out the 3 stage, 2 day long festival. I’m sure there were some small incidents like minor scuffles or the drunk guy/girl that couldn’t handle there liquor going a little too far but nothing major. Well according to Philadelphia police that isn’t so.

According to TMZ, police have filed assault charges against A$AP Rocky. The police reports states that while Rocky was performing on stage in usual A$AP form he leaned towards the crowd to get closer to the fans. Concert goers began grabbing and tugging on his shirt. Knowing Rocky he was probably wearing a Vesace something or a very rare silk garment. So he wasn’t feeling the people pulling on his threads. So he allegedly lashed out and according to police reports he smacked a young woman in the crowd.

The unidentified woman filed criminal charges with the D.A. claiming Rocky smacked her in the face after other crowd members pulled on his shirt. The D.A. investigated the situation and felt that there was enough evidence presented to charge A$AP Rocky with simple assault. And if the criminal charges don’t fly, the woman also claimed that the the force from the smack gave her whiplash. So look for a civil suit to be filed as well.

The sad thing is, this isn’t the first time that Rocky has been involved in an incident were a female fan was hit. A few months back Rocky was caught on video smacking a woman during a concert in Australia. That woman was smacking him on the head trying to get his attention and when Rocky looked up he smacked he across the face.
