Friday night, DJ Premier announced on his show Live From Headqcourterz that DJ Kool Herc, who’s known as the man who fathered Hip Hop on August 11th 1973, is hospitalized & in need of a critical surgery but with no health insurance can’t afford to pay for it. So he needs help. Preemo put it all into perspective,
We actually have a father of a culture that still lives, where in some cultures, you know, they [are] already dead and gone, even though they may still be worshiped or reflected on in some type of way.
There are no details into the seriousness of Kool Herc’s ailment at the moment but the last person that Preemo announced was sick was Guru. I’ll leave it at that.
